The Mystery of the Missing Carburettor Bits
I think the carburettor deserves its own page so this is it.
What Have I Got
From going through the Chrysler Engine Manual, it would appear that I have a Carter AVS setup. I'll stick a picture up here so anybody who thinks otherwise can set me straight
So What's Wrong with it?
It would appear that the fast idle setup is missing. The diaphragm for the automagic choke appears to be in place and the linkages for that side are all in place. On the other side however, a whole load of stuff is missing. I'll stick a close-up of the offending area after this.
So what do I do with it?
The suggestions at present are to install a manual choke as a stop-gap and then attempt to locate the missing bits. My main concern with installing the missing bits is that there is likely to be a reason as to why it was disconnected. I think I will will give this a go. I have a choke cable and there is supposed to be a hole in the firewall for a choke cable so the worst bit of that is done.
